The Industrial Internet of Things - Sensor to Cloud

Affordable operational insights via subscription based model.

What is IIoT?

The following is a short video explaining the Industrial Internet of Things to help you determine whether there is an opportunity in your operation.

“While many in industry recognize the value of collecting and analyzing data from their processes, it is unfortunate, that due to the cost and the lack of expertise, entry into the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) space is difficult. BJM Controls is a service based engineering consultancy that specializes in the design, installation, start up and support of sensor-to-cloud systems that are affordable to its customers thanks to its subscription based offering.”

About BJM Controls

First and foremost, BJM Controls' unique strength lies in the exceptional individuals who lead the company. Each member is a true innovator, and in the relatively brief period of the company's existence, the team has achieved remarkable technological advancements.

BJM Controls (2021) is an innovation company with expertise in developing, installing, commissioning, and launching sensor-based Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) systems. These systems are deployed in a wide range of industrial applications, from light to heavy industries. We collect data from sensors and efficiently transmit it via edge devices (custom built boards) to the cloud for storage and analysis.

While numerous companies focus on working with data once it's in the cloud, our distinction lies in the crucial process of getting the data to the cloud.

BJM Controls stands out in this space, ensuring seamless data transfer for its customer's IIoT needs.

Subscription Service

BJM offers IIoT systems on a subscription basis.  This flowchart outlines its subcription model from the generation of an idea to the turnover and commencement of the subcription service.

BJM Controls' Differentiator

BJM Controls has designed and developed numerous custom edge devices for its clients.  These advanced systems gather data from a variety of instruments that monitor parameters such as temperature, level, and pressure, using diverse digital signals for communication.  Creating these custom solutions can often be time-consuming and expensive.  To address this, BJM Controls has created a universal edge device.  This board features a purpose-built onboard processor that interprets signals, consolidates data, and manages communication for seamless cloud integration.  It can also perform basic control functions to automate plant operations.  Our solution enables the rapid and cost-efficient deployment of IIoT systems, designed to endure the challenging conditions of industrial environments.  This technology distinguishes us in the industry, offering unmatched affordability, speed of implementation, and reliability.

Projects

BJM Controls has completed and is currently working on a number of projects that are at various stages following our subscription model.  Here are a few projects that demonstrate BJM Controls talents and the value we can bring to your operations.

Trip Mode & Downtime Tracking

Our inaugral project was in the textile industry.  This project is complete and is delivering better returns than expected.  Greater gains are anticipated for our customer with further interogation of their data.

Loom2

Oilfield Temperature Monitoring with Remote Notification

BJM Controls is testing a temperature monitoring system for an oil company on the Alberta/Saskatchewan border. The system uses six sensors to track equipment temperatures and prevent shutdowns. Data is sent to the cloud every 10 minutes, with alarms set for high temperatures. In its trial phase, the system has already prevented over $10k in damage.

OilWell

Multiple Input, Automated QA/QC Monitoring with Equipment Control

At present, BJM Controls is in the process of executing a project that was initially prototyped last year.  Utilizing our innovative universal edge device, we are enhancing the operational capabilities and control functions of the laminator trains at our textile client’s facility.  In addition, we are incorporating our tried-and-tested camera-based technology to monitor product quality.
